Brigid D. Ashcraft was born in South Bend, Indiana on March 7, 1962. Brigid received her B.A. in 1984 from the University of Texas at Austin, with honors. She received her law degree from South Texas College of Law in 1987. While in law school, Brigid was a member of the Order of Lytae and as the Lead Articles Editor of the South Texas Law Review. She was admitted to the Texas bar in 1987. Brigid is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court, Southern District of Texas and U.S. Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit. Brigid is a member of the Houston Bar Association and the State Bar of Texas.
