Scott was born in Geneseo, Illinois on October 31, 1957. He received his B.A., with honors, from Western Illinois University in 1980 and his J.D. from the University of Illinois College of Law in 1983. Scott was admitted to the Illinois State Bar Association in 1983 and the State Bar of Texas in 1984. His practice areas include general corporate, partnership and limited liability company matters for private and public businesses, mergers and acquisitions, and general business transactions. He has extensive experience assisting clients in compliance with the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976.
