Brent Vannoy was born in Houston, Texas on December 30, 1965. Brent received his B.A. in 1988 from Texas A&M University and his juris doctorate degree in 1995 from the University of Houston Law Center. While in law school, Brent served as the Publishing Editor of the Houston Journal of International Law and authored "Mexican Telecommunications: Privatization and NAFTA Open the Door for U.S. Expansion into Mexican Markets", 17 Houston Journal of International Law 309 (1994). Brent was admitted to the Texas bar in 1995 and is also admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and the United States District Court for the Southern, Northern and Eastern Districts of Texas. Brent is a member of the Houston Bar Association, the State Bar of Texas and the Houston Young Lawyers Association. Brent's practice is primarily focused on commercial litigation, with an emphasis on business-related issues and commercial torts.
